Listen. I too have problems with “protest voters”. But the fact that you react with such toxicity to patterns of voter behavior we knew months before the election is exactly why there may never be progress.

Propose a way to meaningfully change voter behavior, otherwise your insults stand as perpetuation of the violent status quo we seek to resolve.

Don’t let perfection be the enemy of good. Some things your not gonna get.

Does it suck that the diddnt listen yes, but it’s not a single issue thing. Democrats ran like Republicans “tough on border” “I’ve got a glock” that in my opinion was the real failure.

This was also such a huge deal in the Democratic loss. It was so horrifying to witness the Democrats kneecapping themselves by capitulating to the MAGA position on the border month after month, while polls tumbled. :(

In the meantime, enjoy the consequences of stubborn idealism with 4 years of “All your Gaza are belong to U.S.” BS.

Interesting how, when faced with the reality that a handful of powerful politicians could have made better choices, your instinct is to focus on how millions of ordinary people should have acted differently—without offering any real plan to make that happen

It wasn’t the Democratic voters that were the issue, they were never going to vote for Trump. Worst case scenario, they stay home. It was the independents and left-leaning Republicans that needed to be converted. There are a lot more of them, and they were frustrated by the southern border, the culture was and inflation.

I believe this isn’t entirely accurate, but I appreciate the call for nuance. Overall, fewer 2020 Democratic voters participated in 2024, while Trump voters remained relatively steady.
