As of 2030 all private landlords will be required to meet a higher standard of Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) C or equivalent in their properties – up from the current level of EPC E.

This is good news. I’ve seen way too many rental properties in awful states. Broken single pane windows, barely working boilers, no insulation… all issues that the landlord won’t fix, because the housing shortage means there’s always people lining up in need of somewhere to live.
