Thanks for the round up. Can you give me a rundown of the controversy regarding Obscura?
Steffen Kummerer (vocals, guitar) did a plagiarism. Christian Münzner (guitar) and Alex Weber (bass) quit in late 2024, citing “creative differences”. Then on the album, Steffen included music his departed bandmates had written, after agreeing not to.

Agreed. If it were some mid-tier band, meh these things happen. But Obscura are kinda titans. So I’m revisiting the other band members’ side projects: Obsidious, Alkaloid, looking forward to Retromorphosis, etc.
Fully agree, at that level this kind of stuff just shouldn’t happen… I will definitely check those out!
