Its a line from Top Gun Maverick, where the main character stole an enemy plane and it is approached mid air by a SU57, sowhen they try to communicate he tells his copilot “just smile and wave”

I was thinking it’s from The Penguins of Madagascar, Skipper says “just smile and wave, boys, smile and wave” practically once per episode.

The Penguins of Madagascar is much older than Top Gun: Maverick, how could it the show have referenced a movie from the future? Or did the original commenter mean the original Top Gun?

There’s not much to understand. Just a shitpost about American F-35s and F-16s passing by a Russian Su-57 at the Aero India airshow. The 57 is obviously fully aroused given this is its first time witnessing such beauty.

Had no understand either. Apperently the U.S withdrew their F-35 and F-16 Planes from competing at the Aero India 2025 after it turned out that a russian SU-57 was gonna be showcased there as well. Resulting in some Butt hurt feelings all round.

Yeah, this article is very unbalanced, shall we say?

As much as I despise the US right now I am not dumb enough to think that Russian hardware is even remotely close to what the US has. For whatever it’s worth, they unfortunately got the best.

Why did the let the raptor and the felon be so close together? Can’t they turn on their sensors and learn each other down to the last bolt? Or at least measure the rcs from different angles? The raptor anyway.

Those are F-35s. They’re called Lightning. Raptor is the name of the F22

OMG you’re right. Forgive me for the harm I have caused this world. None may atone for my actions but me, and only in me shall their stain live on. I am thankful to have been caught, my fall cut short by those with wizened hands. All I can be is sorry, and that is all that I am.

I cannot live with such a mistake. I shall eject out of a tu-22 below 1000ft.

        (My point still stands tho)

          Again.

(To answer your question, detachable Luneburg lenses increase radar reflection. These can be quickly removed if need be)

The planes have extra radar reflecting thingies bolted on that make them show up real good on radar so the true radar signature is obscured (also a good idea for air traffic safety reasons), but they can be quickly removed for combat.

I figured that was the case, essentially enemy aircraft can’t profile them while they are installed and near each other
