It’s been a long day, setting up Nemo’s War or Mage Knight feels like way too much hassle. What do you reach for?

Some of my picks:

  • For Northwood was a really pleasant surprise. I love tricktaking and it’s amazing how well this game make that work for solo. The hand-evaluation part before each “conversation” is a really cool mechanic too.
  • Orchard is so easy to get on the table. And you get two plays for a single shuffle. I like the laser-focus on the single goal, great when my mind is not up for something more complicated
  • After the Virus is a cool little solo deckbuilder. Only getting started with this one but really enjoying it so far
  • Buttonshy stuff is always good. Rove, Ragemore, Food Chain Island, Skulls of Sedlec, Spaceshipped are some of my favorites. Oh and Sprawlopolis of course.

@donio @soloboardgaming I enjoy Maquis, Black Sonata and there is a print and play card game called Birdscaping that is really good! Haven’t tried Wingspan or Terraforming Mars solo yet!

I agree that seeing up either of those is daunting. Although Nemo’s had been seeing a lot of play.

I usually go for either One Deck Galaxy or Warp’s Edge.

Or if I’m feeling less spacey: I have been doing Mint Knight. So much faster and easier setup than Mage Knight- and I usually don’t miss to much from MK.
