I had a total of something like 12TB in half-full drives with data scattered to the four winds on them. I went through a big consolidation project to bring it all to one drive.
I ended up with like 1.5TB of stuff worth keeping.
I went from 3tb drives to 12tb drives when there was a good deal on black Friday. Should have enough room on the new drives for a few years at least, and still have the old ones as a Z2 backup for super important stuff.
