This is business as usual. Ukraine’s IMF loans required them to privatize state assets, they went for pennies on the dollar. Ukraine’s fate since the start was either as a puppet state of Russia or a colony of America.
What’s the point of all those materials if nobody can afford to buy anything anymore?
Lower prices for labor and resources increase profits in the short term. This is basic imperialism.
