i know it’s the final boss theme and all, but i really like hopes and dreams, it’s like…the indomitable human spirit put into musical form.
i also really like An Ending, but hopes and dreams just barely edges it out imo. it’s a close 2nd place for sure

i’m 24 days late, but the thread is at the top of active for lemmy.world/c/undertale_deltarune now because i brought it over, so:
hopes and dreams, save the world, and undertale are all incredibly strong contenders for me. the use of leitmotifs! the key changes in hopes and dreams and undertale! the feeling of warmth and hope when once upon a time section C plays for the first time in save the world (ironically not hopes and dreams)! and of course, the emotion they all bring in context! toby fox absolutely nailed the music for the keyest moments in the game.
oh, and also shout out to a song that’s genuinely pretty nice to listen to: can you really call this a hotel, i didn’t receive a mint on my pillow or anything
OH i forgot about Finale. ok nevermind, i think finale’s my 2nd favorite.
it’s a pretty short loop compared to the other final boss songs, but it just kicks so much ass
man, that transition segment in finale where asriel’s leitmotif plays…
