I disable all “play videos in feeds” features which allows me to both not get sucked in and not feel overwhelmed when running on low “stimulation resistance energy”.

    P. S. What’s the word for the energy reserves that you use up in social gatherings and whatnot?

Yeah, same here! Those autoplaying videos are a nightmare for my brain. They just suck up all my spoons, Speaking of spoons, is that what you meant by “stimulation resistance energy”? I’ve heard people talk about “spoon theory” but not sure if it’s the same thing.

Anyway, I wanted to share something that’s been a game-changer for me. It’s this thing called ReVanced. Basically, it lets you tweak social media apps and get rid of all the annoying bits designed to grab your attention.

Like, I kinda like YouTube Shorts, but they’re everywhere, right? And those massive thumbnails are just too much. I’d end up doomscrolling through them instead of watching proper videos from creators I actually like. So, with ReVanced, I used a patch to hide Shorts from the main page and put them in their own little tab. Now, I can still watch them if I want to, but they’re not constantly in my face, pulling me in. Seriously, it’s helped me so much with my focus and energy levels. Maybe it could help you too? Just thought I’d share in case it’s useful. Cheers!

I’ve been using the Finch app with a few of my friends for about a year now. It’s kind of a virtual pet that grows as you meet your daily goals. Mine are small things like brushing my teeth twice a day, taking meds, going outside, lifting heavy things, ext

It also has a lot of built in activities for journaling and breathing exercises.

You can encourage and motivate your friends with it. It doesn’t show you their goals or personal info. It’s a great way to express gratitude or just let them know I am thinking about them.

I wear Bluetooth earbuds that go around my neck. I get flanged earbuds. These help block out more sound than regular earbuds.
