Can I replace it myself, or is does it take some kind of calibration?

Also, the sidebar recommends posting to HVACAdvice, but as far as my search bar can find, it does not exist.

    This is a HVAC damper motor for some sort of multi zone central air system. It clicking might not mean the actuator is bad - can you change the heat settings, and see if the damper can move back and forth? The bolt at the top should slooooowly spin when it’s turning.

    If it spins properly, there is probably something else going on that is beyond my ability and I’d recommend an HVAC tech.

      One other thing, it looks like this is a 24v system, so not really any risk of shock. If you have a multimeter, check that the controller is sending 24v when you would expect this damper to be actuating. You should see 24v between terminal 1 and either terminal 2 or 3 depending on which way it is turning.
