I mean, if you’re copper modding and you’re not masking everything else off with captan, you shouldn’t be copper modding.
From the rest of the video, I’d rather say don’t let your dog do the mod with a chisel.
I still feel like there is something missing in the explanation. The claim is that the electrical conductivity of copper is the problem, but there are lots of metal heatsinks that cover memory on graphics cards. They all conduct electricity yet if this was such a widespread issue the design would have fallen out of use.
