Because it was taking up too much room. I put it off for awhile.

No more box springs for me. My stairs are too narrow to get them upstairs.
Instead, I put bed racks upstairs. The extra space below the bed is room for storage, or clothes drawers, or (in a pinch) pillow forts.
Yup. We deserve better than space wasting box springs. Those bed racks are awesome and easy to find the height you want.
