I was an environmental consultant until my company got bought by a private equity fund. I want to start a new business of environmental consultants that is employee-owned. Are there any frameworks I can use to start this?

Have you considered first joining a worker coop and experiencing it first hand before starting an org? This will do a few things at once:
- Provide a real world view of the pros and cons
- Likely help you build a network of like minded folks in that movement
- If you like the way that org functions, ask the founder(s) of that org where they started and maybe ask them to mentor/advise your own effort?
I don’t know of anything like that in this field. Is there a place to search for worker co-ops?
