    Sounds like clubs wanted more clarification on what exactly they were voting on, which is a good sign. I’m glad to see they’re doing their due diligence before moving forward, regardless of which way the vote goes.

      My worry though is that theyre just throwing this out there and will never actually go ahead with the vote or any plans for pro/rel. Every year or two i feel like theres an article about a vote for pro/rel that never happens

        That’s always a possibility. I get the feeling that there’s strong interest in some of the ownership groups, and the “unnamed source” specifically said that the vote isn’t dead, just delayed. I’m still hopeful it will happen.

          Yeah I agree that there is strong interest from some. It would be a great way to differentiate from MLS and bring interest to the league. I just think the overwhelming majority of owners (who paid for territory rights and expansion fees) would vote no as its not in their best financial interest at least in the short term
