During Trumps address to the Nation or whatever you want to call it, he mentioned no tax on tips. This has been something that he’s talked about before but has not yet passed.

I’m not necessarily against no tax on tips, but I feel like that’s going to inflate gigconomy (Uber, Lyft, Doordash, etc.) and further exacerbate gigconomy.

On the other-hand, times in the U.S. are probably gonna get tough, and tips might be the only way some of these small businesses survive. I’m not talking Starbucks and Walmart either.

What do you think about no tax on tips, tip culture, and gigconomy in general?

    “No tax on tips” is not meant to benefit the common American. With the supreme Court ruling that bribery payments made after the action is taken are consisted “tips”, the “no tax on tips” push is just another way to avoid paying income taxes and dodge anti-corruption and public accountability policies.

      Sounds like corruption in the making… It sucks to be against “No Tax on Tips” but that’s kind how I’m leaning currently.
