Really, the only reason why it took as long as it did was because of so many right-wing voters still associating Russia with the Soviet Union.
Yeah, and it’s kind of ironic that the US is having it’s Yeltsin moment at the same time as Russia is desperately trying to re-form the Soviet Union.
