I have run into an unusual problem. I left my deck to download BG3 while I was at work and when I returned it had crashed. After rebooting it, I started getting crashes when trying to uninstall a game to make more room for BG3. After two crashes it refused to even boot into bios. I tried resetting bios by unplugging the battery and pressing the power button a few times to discharge it then replugging the battery and booting into Bios, but now it won’t even recognize my boot device and none of the controls are responsive. This is really weird to me because I have been playing plenty of games with my undervolt active and it seemed pretty stable. Has anyone else run into this?

Huh interesting. If the SSD was the problem though it seems like I could get back into the BIOS right?

If you can’t access bios, that means that your motherboard is in cause. It’s even worth than a SSD issue. Contact support, i think it’s your best option for now.

Are you sure you are doing it right to access the bios ? You need to give more details about how you’ve already troubleshooted your issue…

For info it’s seems some peoples are doing it wrong si here is what actually work : Hold Volume Down/Up + Power, once you hear the beep, immediately stop holding Power.

Yeah I’m getting into the stock steam deck bios by doing as you said. It has worked numerous times before. The problem is that I do get into the BIOS I am just unable to select anything in there. It’s like it’s frozen or the controls aren’t being recieved, even if I use an external keyboard.

It kinda seems like the undervolt was stable until it wasn’t. Have you tried a recovery USB or anything?

I haven’t tried a recovery bios or anything yet, I need to find my USB drive haha. The main problem I can see is that none of the controls on the deck do anything in the bios screen. I can boot into it but I can’t move the selection or actually select anything. Even attaching a keyboard doesn’t let me select anything. Ugh it’s so frustrating.

I ended up solving this problem by reflashing the bios by following this reddit guide Everything works fine now, although I’m running into the buzzing left speaker problem, so I’m going to try to RMA for that.
