    There is no such post.

Why would I want to hide a post but then … “not bring myself to do it”? What does that even mean? It’s just a click and can be undone with another 2 clicks.

How is that related to post-hiding, though?

I personally just hide link posts of sports articles because I have no interest in the topic.

Are you talking about posts that you think you should hide for yourself when it comes to a personal temptation?

Why the hell are you getting so many downvotes on this?!?!

    I’ve never hidden a post.

The question may be considered confusing, and it may also be considered annoying that OP gives no context or clarity that could shed some light on it. While I didn’t downvote, I personally don’t yet understand how to interpret the question, unless maybe it’s about porn or some personal vice.

Well, sometimes you know something is bad for you, but you still engage with it. For example, you know drinking high sugar content soft drinks isn’t the best, but you still do it. Fast food, drugs, et cetera.

“What’s a post on Lemmy that, even though you know you could hide — even though you know you should hide —, you don’t? You just can’t bring yourself to do it!”

Now, mind you, I’m not sure what situation there could be, what kind of fantastical, mythical post this might be that would warrant such a reaction… I can imagine porn could be it, as you mentioned. Maybe a drama post with lots of toxic interactions. I don’t know.

Right, so a personal vice: I could only imagine something on the level of porn or a similar addiction, like maybe /r/wallstreetbets-like content, but we still haven’t heard back from @[email protected] for an example of exactly what s/he/they mean. I can’t imagine what else it could be, but I also don’t want to assume.
