A mostly-eyeshadows order from Fyrinnae was delivered a few days ago, and I couldn’t keep myself from adding a few more fragrance samples to that order, too. I haven’t actually tried anything because I’m still getting over COVID (gradually improving!), and it’s particularly frustrating not really being able to smell the fragrance samples. I can smell them a little now, which is more than I can say for when they first arrived, but I figure it’ll still be a little while before I can properly test them.

This comment isn’t strictly on topic, but I wanted to talk about my Fyrinnae stuff a little bit! :) (I’ve also got some mineral foundation samples on order from an Etsy seller. I have a jar of foundation from one seller that I really like but am having a hard time getting a good color match. This other seller has a much larger shade selection and similar ingredients, so I’m kind of hoping to find a good fit there.)

After talking about this scent recently, I’m wearing BPAL’s On Darkness (notes:black poppy, lavender, thick black incense, black amber, rose geranium, Brazilian rosewood, and benzoin). The more I wear this scent the more I love it. It screams dark purple floral. It’s rich and reads like a vintage scent. The incense and black amber give this one a dark resinous background that really balances out the florals. This is one of my favorite “goth florals”.
