I love this so much. Thank you Larian for setting a shining example in this horrible industry.

Hoping the success of games like BG3 and Battlebit opens the possibility of some return to sane monetization

If FS follows their past games, Armored Core 6 won’t have MTX either. Maybe a DLC, but I’m somewhat ok with expansions costing money as long as it brings actual content to the game.

I don’t remember any FS games having MTX, but I could be wrong.

          Agreed. Sanity would be nice.

Wildly successful $15 game with basically no microtransactions. There’s a $20 supporter pack that has a couple skins, but it’s very clearly marked as “hey if you wanna toss the devs some extra cash, you can”

Larian has always been “based” ever since Divine Divinity ages ago.

This is absolute bullshit! You mean I can’t pay money so that I can play the $60 game even less?! How am I supposed to level without 2x XP provided by the Season Pass?! You expect me to just buy DLC and expansion packs for $15+ instead of spending $15+ now and then being able to buy them with a 10% discount for 13.50 each?! I actually have to play the game to make my character look different? Terrible design in 2023.
