It would be interesting to see these stats in terms of the (sub)classes of lumpenproletariat, proletariat, petite bourgeoisie, and bourgeoisie. The “middle class” definition isn’t useless, but it elides the fact that its members have far less in common with the bourgeoisie than anyone else.
