Here are the reasons why:

  1. It will be much quieter
  2. It sounds nicer
  3. If you get angry and ring your bell at someone it just sounds silly

    Alternative option:

    Replace all car horns with those old timey horns that go, “ah-WOOOOOO-gah!” Then the whole thing is just constantly silly.

    Better yet, replace all car wheels with bicycle tires. Keep them nice and slow.

    How do you hear it if you are in the other car? Sounds proofing in cars is getting pretty good.

    Opposite. All bike bells should sound like car horns.

    1. Make biking seem less “gay” to the general population
    2. Scares other cars, driving them off the road (more room for bikes)
    3. Your anger will be taken more seriously, and people will respect the biker more
