I had some questions regarding the reboot of FMHY lemmy.

  • In this post it states that the data from lemmy.fmhy.ml is still available? Is it now gone, has it been deleted? This reboot of lemmy.fmhy.net seems to be brand new instance without its original data?

  • Will the other instances that federated with lemmy.fmhy.ml delete the posts, comments, and communites from lemmy.fmhy.ml?

    3 weeks late lmao but:

    • lemmy.fmhy.ml data is available over other instances that federated with it before, such as lemmy.world
    • We’re not them but most likely not. There’s not really any reason to do so, especially since it’d require a manual wipe or defederation.
