The Warriors and rival NBA executives believe DiVincenzo will decline his $4.7 million player option for the 2023-24 season, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported Sunday, and their expectation is Golden State’s vital bench piece will be too expensive for the team to re-sign in free agency.

An unnamed NBA executive told Scotto that DiVincenzo is worth the non-taxpayer mid-level exception salary of $12.2 million.

I’m also curious as well. I didn’t see much of him this past year, but rumors seem to place him as a player most teams would love coming off on the bench.

Decent, could play some D and shoot some 3s, but other than a few amazing games, not really a game changer.

Honestly, I think if you’re going to contend, you need players like DiVincenzo coming off the bench. The Warriors obviously shouldn’t overpay for Donte, but at the same time if they retain Draymond I really don’t see them attracting another role player better than Donte, especially with the hard cap.

Interesting that they went for him and now can’t pay enough for him. That feels like a minor miss on their part

Nah, he was always expected to be a one-year rental, same as OPJ last year. If he played well enough to be relevant he was always going to price himself out of a second year.

Feels a bit high for him, admittedly haven’t seen much of him since he left the Bucks but he was pretty inconsistent back then to be much more than an alright bench guy and didn’t really standout in the Warriors games I saw.
