Hi Steve.

Just a heads up, I made an account on the fanaticus.social instance so I can lurk during lemmy.world downtime. I tried to find this community, and no matter how I search or what I click on, the Bean community page cannot be found. Same goes for recent lemmy.world posts. I’m sure it is a lemmy.world issue, but wanted to bring it to your attention because it could impact your ability to get the word out about your app once it is released on the App Store. Might be good to share from other instances, and not just lemmy.world!

Thank you, I really appreciate that! I guess .world is having a lot of issues with downtime and federation lately. I’ll have a look at communities I could possibly share the release to as well.

It seems word of mouth does the trick a lot, had a big influx of 200 more testers these last few days!

It seems like most of the biggest iOS and App communities are on lemmy.world, a side effect of them getting the brunt of the Great Reddit Exodus. There are a few decently-sized Apple communities on other instances, and the general communities of instances are usually friendly to spreading the word (in fact, I found out about Bean from [email protected]). Plenty of sharing on Mastadon is always a good method too.
