Honestly, I’ve read the terms and it basically explicitly gives them the ability to share the data with board partners and internal engineering teams - and those partners are required to keep the data confidential. They aren’t selling any of this data to advertisers. Given how NVidia is dominating the GPU field now, I’d like to see Intel get some more decent GPUs out for more customer choice. If telemetry allows them to do this, I’m all for it. This is a common thing in application development, and web development even - it’s not always done for nefarious purposes. They even state that they will keep your data only until you opt out.
