Certainly not funny for the lettuce, being compared to her must have been rather offensive. At least a lettuce has a purpose.
Full disclosure: not my country, not my problem, and we have enough idiot politicians in the US to keep us busy.
However, I would think her reaction to the question would be somewhat disqualifying for a politician. It seems delusional to not acknowledge the humor of the situation. If she had any talent and grace, she could have responded in a way that improved her look rather than reinforcing her incompetence:
“Well, of course it’s not a flattering comparison, but I can’t deny the accuracy and the humor. However, what isn’t funny is the serious issues our nation is facing…”
Deal with the turd in the punch bowl, then pivot and get back on message.
Then again, if she was competent, maybe she would have given the lettuce a run for its money.
it was not funny, was absolutely hilarious
Why is a conservative talking about empathy?
the fact you were able to be compared to a lettuce was not funny, the fact the lettuce won is hilarious.
It was very funny honestly.
I was wondering if that joke would die off soon, glad she’s ensured it’ll be here for another decade at least.
