I’ve been using with my girlfriend for a couple of years also. Can’t convince other friends/family into it unfortunately
@asjkk8 I went cold turkey and quit whatsapp. Told everyone that if they want to reach me, it would have to be on Signal.
@administrator What platform are you using Signal on? What did you use before?
I used it on Android before and now iOS, and used the desktop app on Windows. I switched immediately when there was some news about WhatsApp’s security or company policies being crappy, I forget what the issue was now but at the time it was alarming to me. Plus I wasn’t a fan of Facebook as the owner so yeah.
I’m considering trying out Matrix but haven’t gotten into it yet.
@administrator Same history here I also did quite a lot of beta testing and feedback rounds on the official forum. Managed to convert most of my family and friends. Matrix is next on my radar as well.
