I want to root for Stroll but the numbers don’t lie. It really feels like he’s holding Aston back at this point.
Or maybe it’s just the Alonso curse and we shouldn’t be too hard on him.
Yeah, I don’t dislike Stroll, he’s not too bad for a pay driver and definitely has his moments, but seeing Alonso perform like this makes me yearn for a stronger AM teammate.
I hope Stroll can at least get them a 1-2 this year. Max has at least 1 or 2 DNFs every season and Aston should capitalize on it.
I don’t think stroll has the pace for a 1-2. He might be on a similar level to Alonso on his best days but this would need to happen the same day that Verstappen has a problem and aston is faster than Merc and Ferrari.
