    Cook said legal action is almost always anticipated in cases like this.

    Against who? Someone for having a hole on their private land? It’s a shitty accident but I don’t understand the legal action at all.

      I wasn’t surprised. You have a responsibility as a homeowner in most states to keep your property safe, even from trespassers. It’s weird but homeowners lose these lawsuits or settle out of court frequently.
