Going from step 2 to step 3 looks a bit awkward and possibly dangerous for your finger tips. Perhaps not something you’d want to do in a close combat situation
Oh yeah, iirc they explained this in lore with the assassin’s having to get the motion just right in order to avoid having their fingers cut off like ac1
