I think it’s pretty decent, but I’ve only watched the anime. Is the manga worth reading?

I like the concept. The art style looks so good and MAPPA did a really good job bringing it to life. Action scenes are pretty great too.

The author also did a really good job with coming up with a shounen that doesn’t require a ton of backstory to understand character emotion and goals. Haven’t really seen a shounen that is this impactful in the short amount of episodes it aired in.

I think the anime has been a decent adaptation, but the manga obviously goes much further than the anime can in a single season.

I’m reading it in Japanese to practice, and it has been quite the challenge — a lot of Buddhist & Taoist language, concepts and terms to learn.

I appreciate that the plot has momentum. People come and people die, the dynamic keeps shifting. I don’t know if the story is actually going to end in 12 episodes, but it’s at least doing a great job of creating the illusion of rocketing toward an exciting ending.

I think it’s a great read. The character exploration and development is really what carries Hell’s Paradise, but there are a lot of hype moments to keep you invested as well. The last arc was… alright, but overall, it’s a solid 7.5/10 for me.

Worldbuilding is its best suit and the characters are generally well-writen. Obviously incomplete story. It’s not the pinnacle of the medium, but I liked it.

    I hate it.

It has great production values and art style, but the plot is all over the place.

One invincible-looking, yet brittle enemy each week.

The characters are shallow, I don’t care for the MC Gabimaru who’s both blase and nigh indestructible at the same time, and isn’t particularly insightful.

There’s nothing worse than a character who doesn’t care, is invincible, and has invincible plot armor.

I mean why would I root for this guy?

Honestly, his asaemon whatsername, would be a better main character. She’s got a little bit of interesting background, but it really hasn’t been mentioned since her biographical flashback. She’s such a generic dandere otherwise.

It’s decent but not amazing. But it could be just me, i’m not a big fan of these fighting animes and i’m watching weekly so it’s probably good if you usually like that genre
