I’m really loving Bean. Every update is looked forward to.

One of the issues I am seeing is the jumping timeline, something that I have seen mentioned elsewhere. It is almost as if Bean is filling in the timeline with pictures etc which is adjusting the post sizes.

Is anyone else seeing this? It isn’t a huge deal other than you suddenly jump to a different post as you are looking at the timeline. A small thing but a little frustrating.

Do you have hide read posts enabled?

Try turning it off and see if it stops the jumping around.

Ok, I’ve found the setting now.

I will try turning full height images off first and if it continues I will try turning this setting off. Thanks for the suggestion.

Oh that’s no good! Are you able to let me know the following:

    • View mode e.g. Card, Compact, Headline
    • Screens it’s happening on
    • iOS version you’re using

Card mode (it’s the only one I use at the moment) on my subscribed timeline using iOS 17 dev beta 5 (I think - the latest one).

However I am pretty sure it happens on other timelines as well.

I was in a poor reception area with slow data. It just ‘felt’ as if the app was pulling pictures etc. in after I had scrolled past something and it caused my position to jump.

Yeah that’s quite possible, especially if you have the “Full Height Images” option on but it’s also possible that it’s a 17 beta issue. I’ll do some testing with Network Conditioner on.
