    They really should have titled this The History of Western Philosophy, because it reinforces the mistaken belief that the Greeks started invented systematic philosophical thought.

    In fact, Indian philosophers were debating monism vs dualism, the existences of the soul and of God, and even suggested the idea that matter was composed of fundamental building blocks (atoms) at round the same time as the Greeks, or even earlier, and their philosophical tradition had started over a thousand years before that.

      Most recent contribution to Eastern Philosophy recorded there is 1100 CE.

      I wonder why people would consider Western philosophy to be more impactful and relevant to modern life.

        The most recent contribution recorded on this infographic is the 1800s, which is the advent of Neo-Vedanta, the philosophy I (a Westerner) happen to ascribe to personally.
