I’m sorry, but anyone who thinks it’s acceptable to tell people to “fuck off to France” when they voice their displeasure at being loaded into a floating barge containing Legionella can go and do one as far as I’m concerned.

If you can’t show any kind of empathy for fellow humans who are potentially fleeing for their lives then you are not deserving of any respect.

But he’s such an articulate and charismatic public speaker no?

I just moved out of that greasy fucker’s constituency. Ashfield is a futureless shithole full if belligerent cretins and he fits it to a tee. He campaigned and won on a platform of thinly-disguised xenophobia. Him and the local racist party, the Ashfield Independents (some of their senior members are back in court this week, I think) are revolting and I couldn’t be happier to leave that piss-stinking hellhole behind.

But I feel so sorry for the Eastern Europeans who live in the area; there are a lot of them and in the last few years they have revitalised a lot of the towns - especially Sutton-in-Ashfield, who’s high street is full of thriving businesses thanks to them - and are genuinely resented by many of the feckless locals.
