I don’t get it
Imaginary friend perhaps? So it’s about kids being able to more realistically believe in magical universes. That’s how I’m reading it.
It’s not an imaginary friend, it’s the second child of the artist. She often draws her family for her webcomic.
I love that they are clearly clam digging. Clearly in the Pacific NW.
You have not lived until you have taken a dog clam-digging.
“WAIT, WAIT… HO HO HOL’ UP… You’re saying ‘I can dig… ALL I WANT… and… and… there’s FOOD at the other end???’ WE’RE CHASING FOOD IN THE DIRT??? OMGOMGOMG!!!”
The Easter bunny is in all bunny-like things. Is Bugs Bunny the Easter bunny? If necessary.
That rabbit you saw in a field munching on a dandelion and then running to hide? Probably not, but if it was necessary, then yes.
Your toy bun who doesn’t seem to do much and is almost always exactly where you left him? Almost certainly, but only when you’re not looking.
It’s magic.
