Looks like “Texas is back!” . . . . Again. It’ll be interesting to see if they actually perform this season.

Ranked in the preseason? That’s guaranteed that they’re going to be playing for bowl eligibility in week 12.

Shameless plug for the c/cfb poll which I’ve created here. Note that this poll is far from fool proof, so please double check your submissions and don’t break it if we can avoid it. Link to the results (which I’ll post Fridays? Thursdays?) here.

Good old stagnant preseason rankings making sure the correct schools start off with a lead.

Good. Texas doesn’t need the hype. I wanna see us win games before we get any more media attention.

Did Iowa get a new OC or did the AP get ranking confused with total points scored in a season?

TCU at 17, and Florida with one more vote than Baylor. This feels fair, LOL.

I guess the Texas budget and recruiting mean it’s reasonable to predict they’ll be back every god-damned year, but jeez, at some point don’t their decades-long structural issues and underperformance get some inertia of their own? Nobody ever got fired for buying IBM, I guess.
