    Everything they released up to Watershed is incredible. Everything after is still great, just… a different band, really.

      Absolutely agreed. Sounds like a totally different band. I simply love Mikael’s voice before he started adding a lot of flair(?) to his clean vocals, and before he stopped growling entirely

        It’s sad because I don’t know an Opeth fan who doesn’t feel exactly this way. Sorceress was good and all but still…

          Any bands you’d recommend that help scratch that earlier Opeth itch? Ne Obliviscaris is one for me

            I recently stumbled over Katatonia which scratched that itch for me. Maybe they’re for you too.

            Not as hard as I remember early Opeth but amazing nonetheless.

          Even though I’m very much an oldpeth person, I’ve come to love some of their newer songs. Ever since I heard Eternal Rains Will Come and Allting Tar Slut live I’ve been hooked on them.

    Opeth has so many great albums, but Ghost Reveries was my first and holds a special place in my heart. This is such a great song.
