Trump loves to “save” people from due process, doesn’t he?
I don’t know what kind of framing or sanewashing this could have to sound good or the right thing to do.
Even if someone thought somehow that poor ol’ Bibi was being treated unfairly by the justice system… Being offered to be “saved” from accountability or justice is quite different than exonerated or justified, or even in the mildest language, protected. Trump is more or less implying that yes, Netanyahu is corrupt, but he needs to be saved from consequences because Trump likes this corruption.

Honestly it’s one of the cooler things we’ve ever made, really. Like, it says “fuck this one guy specifically.” Yeah if you’re in the car with this person, ya might be a casualty, but we’re not going to level several blocks to get him. I kind of appreciate the absolute minimalism of collateral damage, despite the issues of targeted killings without due process. At least little Timmy, or Ahmed, or Yuri, etc. won’t be crushed under a building while they’re playing.
That being said, I’m sure it’s of little comfort for the targeted person.
