      I have actually read your forum discussion when I tried to install Fedora myself. I did not manage to do it.

      In step 2, did you copy the dab file to the usb stick ? For me that’s always write protected.

      On my SYSTEM_DRV I have the dtb already from my previous adventures.

      In the end I did not get it to work. I still use openSuse Tumbleweed. That works good, but I also sometimes think an immutable system should be great.

        yes the usb image is protected, the trick is to use this Debian tutorial about it https://wiki.debian.org/InstallingDebianOn/Thinkpad/X13s
