Has anyone else noticed an absence of new releases on PCVR?
I feel like the latest game was Ghosts of Tabor and everything else came out 2022 or earlier.
I think it has been fairly apparent since the release of the quest after which Meta started no new projects targeting PC and of course many developers shited their attention to that standalone too.
Do you also mean lack of ports for games intended for Quest? On the bright side Amid Evil VR reported better sales on PC than Quest. PCVR could also benefit from there now finally being PSVR2 to target alongside it.
Luckily there’s all the VR mods too, Praydog is a hero.
No I mean we had some really cool games coming out. Ports like Bethesda’s titles were also great and I’m not seeing many of these.
Porting a game from Quest 2 isn’t going to have the wow factor for the PCVR platform.
Yes I’ve felt this too unfortunately :/
Not at all.
Firmament came out a couple weeks ago.
Vertigo 2 came out shortly before that.
Hello Neighbor and Another Fisherman’s Tale were both pretty recent too.
I don’t really notice it because my queue is still so full of things to play. I’m half way through Half-Life 2 Mod and whenever I finish that (probably months from now) I’ll probably start on Vertigo 2. With the depth of PCVR games you don’t need nearly so many releases to keep you occupied!
Really just more worried about the health of the ecosystem.
I have so many games from my humble bundle buys It will take me some time to even think about a new game.
Everything’s been shifting towards standalone. The Pico library is about on par with Quest now too. Although now that PSVR is here we may see more games crossing over to Steam.
