If you’re just looking at the top 10 for which anime to watch, you’re missing out!
What do you suggest?
From this season I’m also watching; Dark Gathering, Helck, Level 1 Demon Lord, Reborn as a Vending machine. I’m not very picky when it comes to shows, just need something entertaining. Would definitely recommend Dark Gathering and Helck.
@Mr_Dark @alphacyberranger for sure, except when you’re new to it lol and just need some good ones to get started xD
Would love to see a non-sequel version of this.
Thanks for the list, I was not aware of Bleach, Jujutsu and Bungo are being aired, I put everything in MAL watching list untill they finish airing. I just can’t watch them one episode per week.
My poor Helck, can’t even reach the top 10.
Zom 100 is honestly just amazing
If Jobless Reincarnation just simply got rid of all the cringe weird (pedophile-like at times) fan service bullshit, it would seriously be like a 10/10 anime. Like what the actual fuck is the deal with that elf lady who just fucks everyone? It’s so immature and stupid and it just completely ruins the mood of an otherwise fantastic show. I honestly can’t even recommend this show to anyone because it’s disgusting at times. I have never seen anime with as much cringe bullshit as this. I keep watching it though because everything else asides from this is great.
I feel you… but it’s a structural problem within anime culture. I wish they could just grow up sometimes and not go for every cheap sexual interpretation and creepy interaction there is.
I would never let my kids watch this one, cause the show’s morale is utter trash imo.
Season 2 is fucking ass so far honestly. I hope it gets better.
The light novels wouldn’t have been succesfull if the writing was complete trash I think
But yeah this season was kinda slow until now. I also don’t get why they make such a big deal out of the reveal of silphy. Like brooooo this part is deadass boring and the logic behind is also just meh.
Has this season been following the novels/manga closely or are they deviating? I kinda thought the magic school would be cool and show rudeous you know…learning new magic? But so far all it’s been is like kidnapping and sexual assault of beast girls and fucking figurines. Also the nympho elf girl bullshit.
I can’t really say as I didn’t read them. But maybe someone else can answer that.
And don’t forget about the slave trade part lol. He was so unphased about buying one :D I’m sure the complete story is great, but I hope all those fillers will not revolve around the same bs aspects you named.
It’s felt like this entire season is fillers lol. However we’re still early in the season right? Isn’t it gonna be like 24 episodes?
Yep, got that right. Let’s hope it will turn out nicely
Flawed characters are definitely MT’s strengths compared to all other soulless wish-fulfillment power fantasy trash isekais out there. Yeah I feel you on I can’t recommend this to anyone coz of its weirdness but I would take this compared to the hot garbages. I have been told the elf plays more role later in this season and is not a one trick pony so chill out for now.
Glad to hear the elf gets a real roll. I feel like she had a sorta okay roll in season 1 but the first part of season 2 just treats her as a pire sex.object and nothing else. It’s cringe.
My problem is not that the show is weird, it’s that it’s weird in a way that makes me feel like the author is actually a sexual predator lol. Like I wouldn’t even be surprised if he would be locked up for it.
Plenty of animes to name who didn’t have to take this path to write strong and deep character plots. And just because it’s skewed and morally edgy doesn’t mean it’s deep. It rather seems sometimes that anime authors use this element to blur over their lazy writing.
But MT doesn’t even need it, as it’s a fine anime either way. F.e. the father son dynamic and how he doesn’t care about his ‘own’ family… it’s so we’ll written imo. Also the part where he keeps the family together even tho his dad f’d the housekeeper. The series has great emotional intelligence and does not depend on predatory perspectives to work well.
I certainly hope that author is not a sexual predator. But one author I would certainly be more cautious of would be Made in Abyss author. I have no idea how, but that show despite subjecting the audiences to some of the most fucked up shit, still leaves an subtly beautiful impression.
