predstrogen: yeah yeah online privacy is important but really i just hate those share tracking things at the end of links because they look ass ugly
predstrogen: [screenshot of tags] #finding disheveled feral links covered in tracking strings and gently cleaning them and picking off all the tracking strings

yeah generally everything after the “?” in a URL is safe to delete.
Not realy. Youtube for example uses stuff after the “?” to actualy specify the video you want.
Pretty sure that’s bad url use, at least in my nerdy opinion. From stackoverflow : “‘path params = resource identification’ and ‘query params = resource sorting’”
Well played
hehe
ClearURLs is an extention to automaticly remove tracking elements.
ClearURLs is an extension that automatically removes trackers and is available for all browsers
if ur on android or don’t want to install too many extensions you can also use uBlock Origin with a custom filterlist such as the builtin “AdGuard URL Tracking Protection” or DandelionSprout’s Legitimate URL Shortener (which is included in my usable web guide wink wink nudge nudge)
you don’t need both lists enabled as the dandelionsprout one has all the rules from the adguard one inside it
Nice! Glad that there are options.
