We discover that DALLE-2 seems to have a hidden vocabulary that can be used to generate images with absurd prompts. For example, it seems that Apoploe vesrreaitais means birds and Contarra ccetnxniams luryca tanniounons (sometimes) means bugs or pests.
This is really interesting and I had a play around with it today. I put ‘welcome to nightvale’ in the prompt and it popped out some of its own words.
Tillo came up quite a bit. I put that in and got really clear pictures of food, lots of tomato in there.
Wagrta got me pictures of valleys and rivers and I can see the link there.
Sounds really interesting, can you post the images?
I tried to run a similar experiment using Midjourney with equally fascinating results:
- Experiment 1 - in the post body
- Experiment 2 - in the comment
And here is another experiment where I tried to use invented words in the prompt.
Yes, your post was what gave me the idea of having a go myself!
So here’s Tillo
Wagrta
Wello
And just for fun here’s nigtarl
I have no idea what’s going on with nigtarl, it seems like it’s changed up Nightvale but it’s associated those letters with Christmas or something.
