Just in time, too. Another settlement needs our help
Goddamnit Preston I just got back home
I played until the guy went to that fortress and I just never went to that fortress. Guess I accidentally improved the game for me lol
They have it on sell also. Very surprised that it came to gog before warcraft 3.
It’s annoying that so many mods require you to use the steam version, for this and skyrim.
Is this just due to the mods only being on the steam workshop, or is there some other way the mods are checking the install type?
I’m pretty upset that steam closed the method that allowed you to download from the workshop through a standard browser.
Not steam workshop, but nexus mods.
Nexus mods shouldn’t need Steam at all. Other than the steam_api.dll file, the file structure and all the files are identical, and all you have to do is out the mod files in the right place and turn them on in your load order. What mods do that? The only thing it really makes more difficult is if you want Steam Workshop mods. Which you can download, but you need to use a 3rd party tool to do it if you don’t own the game on Steam.
There is also the new engine updates that fucked up old mods. Many Special Edition mods don’t work on the Anniversary edition, and Fallout 4 was supposed to be getting similar treatment recently. I don’t know if that is released yet or not, tho.
My hundreds of Mods works fine on GoG version, including so many that requires skse. It’s hard to find a mod or function that I use since Oldrim without it’s GoG compatible version nowadays.
Huh got an example?
Has anyone heard anything about the series x enhanced update for fallout 4? It was mentioned a long ass time ago and there’s been radio silence since then.
I’m sure I read recently that they stated they have starfield as a priority at the moment. Hopefully before the end of the year.
I have One X and enhanced graphics look similar to PC at max.

Skyrim and Yakuza were the ones that took me by surprise, but this did happen sooner than I expected after ESV.

Guess I’ll be buying fallout 4 again then.
For $10? Hell yeah.
Why would you buy it again just to have on GoG?
You only really own a PC game you bought on gog. Everywhere else you’re just renting.
OK I get this sentiment, but what does that offer me when it’s a digital game besides not having the CD revoked from me at the whim of the publisher? Can I sell it? Can I lend it to friends?
You can download the installer and install it on any machine you have, and there is nothing stopping you from giving the installer to a friend.
The GoG version of any game doesn’t require you to have a GoG account nor their client on your pc, and they don’t have DRM. Which means that, if GoG was to shut down tomorrow, you will still be able to install the game and play it.
Thanks for the response, I knew about the DRM bit but never put it together what you said about being able to install it if GoG was to shut down. Pretty awesome!
