Welcome to today’s daily kōrero!

Anyone can make the thread, first in first served. If you are here on a day and there’s no daily thread, feel free to create it!

Anyway, it’s just a chance to talk about your day, what you have planned, what you have done, etc.

So, how’s it going?

Hope you’re all good. Have had a horrid couple of days due to serious side effects from steroid medications I was recently prescribed. These things are supposed to help, not make me feel even worse!! Feeling so much better this morning having stopped taking them, though Doctor will tell me I’ve been a naughty boy!!

Trust the day will be good for you.

I currently use two laptops (work and personal), and I was previously using an HP G5 Dock to switch between the two via USB-C.

The Docks recently died, and was looking to see if there might be a more elegant solution.

I was wanting to leave both laptops plugged in (via USB-C), and switch between the two with something like a KVM Switch? I was wondering if anyone’s done something like this, or know of a solution?

edit: additionally with Power over USB-C capabilities as well

Day off today. I took Mum out for breakfast and spent the afternoon watching the ultimate chick flick: The Bodyguard. I haven’t seen it since I was a teenager and I must have seen the cleaned-up-for-tv version because it was a bit different to how I remembered. Anyway, I think I’m finally ageing into the target market for sappy shit and I can’t decide if that’s a bad thing or not.

I’m actually enjoying just enjoying stuff and not caring what anyone else thinks, after wishing for years that I could exactly that.

I’ve been making a conscious effort to stop snacking between meals lately. I never realised how many times I look for something to eat just because I’m bored.
