I planted 5 pineapple crowns 4 years ago. Only 3 of them survived transplanting into larger pots. I had given up on them fruiting, but kept them around. This year my new puppy thought that the leaves were great to chew on and I thought she killed these 2. As I was readying to free up the planters, I see itty bitty little buds in the middle. This is about 2 months of growth.

Oddly enough, the 3rd plant that was not ravaged by the puppy still has not started to bear fruit.

This success has rejuvenated my enthusiasm for growing pineapples and I have 2 more crowns started.
