I’m really impressed with how the club has done with bringing players in this summer. But good grief, our inability to sell unwanted players (or those who want to leave) is jarring!
Kiwior proved how good he is last season in the PL. He wants to move on to get more playing time, which is a very reasonable expectation on his part. I was hoping a continental club world swoop in with an offer for about 25-30m. But nope! All those Italian clubs who are clamouring for him are apparently skint. And the best lead for him right now is Porto who are offering a loan with an obligation to buy!
Vieira has gone off the boil. Zinchenko is on silly money wages. And tragically, Nelson seems to get injured if you just look at him. So I get why moving those three on is a challenge. But we need to do better with the likes of Kiwior. And it’s not like this is a one-off thing. We’ve sucked at selling players for years.

Completely agree! Especially as they keep switching that community from instance to instance and then locking down the other ones. It’s just creating a vapour trail of confusion. And it seems like the current community pushes a lot of pro-Liverpool stuff and content that isn’t accessible outside the UK.
I put a comment on the old lemmy.world community a while ago asking if it could be reactivated as an alternative to the nomadic community. It got a decent number of upvotes, so it seems like I’m not the only one who is interested in that change. Amusingly, about a week or two later I received what looked like an auto-generated comment telling me that the community had moved to the other instance and encouraging me to go there instead. No discussion of the underlying concerns. The tone-deafness of that response made me roll my eyes and smile wryly.
yeah, and now they’ve locked the community altogether.
