What could she have possibly done to escalate to multiple punches to the head? This sort of behavior is only justified when an officers life is threatened. The mayor says you can interpret video whatever ways, but to me, it’s pretty easy to take it as “what actually happened”.

Probably a unpopular opinion but this looks like an “everyone sucks here” situation. I’ll bet this women came in yelling and screaming at the officers about “cuffing her baby”. There’s at least one point where she’s clearly throwing hands herself and I certainly don’t expect the officers to just stand there and take that. Even when the “on the ground” punch from the bald cop was thrown you can see that they’re struggling back against the cop, and I’m not sure if people just expect that once they’re on the losing side of a fight with cops that the police are just supposed to say “our bad go ahead and leave”. That’s kind of a fuck around and find out situation.
