Also the Long-Tail Cat Talisman from the recent Elden Ring which says it negates fall damage, something it actually does. If the fall kills you, however, the talisman does not negate death.

Which I still think is damn stupid. It’s not like it heals you after a fall damages you, and dead I would say is definitely damaged. It’s as stupid as saying "I didn’t sell it, I auctioned it

I think it’s funny, because you find it after a (theoretical) deadly fall on corpse who probably thought it would prevent death.

The talisman is a joke item, because the other scenarios would be worse. If the range of “you take fall damage” wouldn’t be 16-20m, but like 10-20m, then the talisman would be mandatory to wear in certain areas, with minmaxers constantly switching it out before and after a drop. On the other hand, if it completely negated any fall damage and death by falling, then you completely break parts of the game (a great example would be dropping into Radahn’s arena from the cliffs instead, which is normally impossible afaik), and world borders might become unclear, because people might assume they can reach a spot that looks explorable, but doesn’t exist.

I love that if you’re able to spam the talk button quick enough before he hits the ground, he just says “I don’t want to talk about it”

My son is 8 and thinks the guy killed himself because he couldn’t fly right.

I had to gently explain what exactly happened.

Anybody else wonder why this 6yo child is so sassy before realizing it means they have been a DM for 6 years?

If that’s what it means it’s worded wrongly. The only meaning of “yo” in this context is “years old”.

This is talking about a 6yo. They do tend to be that sassy, although a lot of the time they are just stating facts and don’t realize how sassy it comes off. I have one, it’s great.

Me too. He’s so funny and clever, but he doesn’t know he’s funny and clever, he just hates people laughing after he says something unintentionally witty. He thinks they are laughing at him.

Yes mine too. Although mine does also like puns. The unintentional jokes are the best though.
